Appreciating our Soles
One of the “bullet point” blessings we say each morning in Tefilla is המכין מצעדי גבר, recognizing the One who makes our shoes. Shoes? Are the blessings geared towards our soles our souls? In this Tefilla Talk we engage in one of the most fundamental blessings in the morning Tefilla – appreciating the underrated support systems we have in our lives. Appreciating the fact that we even have shoes and supports for our feet and bodies is a microcosm of appreciating all of the behind-the-scenes support systems and items that are necessary for us to live.
